Prescription products require a medical evaluation
Products marked Rx are prescription medications. They are available only after a licensed healthcare provider reviews your medical intake and determines that treatment is appropriate for you. Submitting an intake or placing an order does not guarantee a prescription.
Never start, stop, or change a prescription without talking to a licensed provider. Always tell your provider about every medication, supplement, and medical condition you have, including pregnancy or plans to become pregnant, and breastfeeding.
Compounded medications
Some medications offered through Rehab® Health Lab are compounded by U.S.-based, FDA-registered and state-licensed pharmacies. Compounded medications are prepared for an individual patient and are not FDA-approved products; the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality in the way it reviews commercially available drugs.
Compounding may be appropriate when a commercially available product does not meet a patient's individual clinical needs. That decision is made by your provider.
GLP-1 medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide and related therapies)
GLP-1 receptor agonists may cause serious side effects. Stop use and seek medical care right away if you experience severe or persistent abdominal pain, severe vomiting, signs of an allergic reaction, changes in vision, or symptoms of low blood sugar such as confusion, shakiness, or fainting.
Do not use GLP-1 therapy if you or a close relative has a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, if you have had a serious allergic reaction to a GLP-1 medication, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, fatigue, and injection-site reactions.
- Tell your provider if you have a history of pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, gastroparesis or other stomach or intestinal problems, kidney disease, diabetic retinopathy, or thyroid nodules.
- GLP-1 medications may interact with insulin, sulfonylureas, and other medications that lower blood sugar.
Hormone therapy (HRT and TRT)
- Hormone and testosterone therapy require baseline and ongoing lab monitoring as directed by your provider.
- Do not use if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Testosterone products are not for use by women.
- Tell your provider about any history of breast, uterine, or prostate cancer, blood clots, stroke, heart disease, liver disease, or sleep apnea.
- Possible side effects include acne, fluid retention, mood changes, changes in red blood cell counts, and changes in fertility.
Peptides and longevity therapies
Peptide and longevity protocols are prescribed at a provider's clinical discretion and are not FDA-approved to treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Injection-site redness, swelling, itching, flushing, headache, or nausea may occur. Report any unexpected reaction to your care team.
Hair, skin, and sexual health treatments
- Finasteride is not for use by women who are or may become pregnant, and may cause sexual side effects and mood changes.
- Minoxidil may cause scalp irritation, unwanted facial hair growth, dizziness, or a rapid heartbeat.
- ED and libido medications can cause serious drops in blood pressure when combined with nitrates or certain blood-pressure medications. Seek emergency care for an erection lasting more than four hours, chest pain, or sudden vision or hearing loss.
- Topical products may cause redness, dryness, peeling, or increased sun sensitivity.
Storage, handling, and disposal
Follow the storage instructions provided with your medication, including refrigeration where required. Keep all medications out of the reach of children and pets. Never share prescription medication or injection supplies with another person. Dispose of needles in an approved sharps container.
In an emergency
Rehab® Health Lab does not provide emergency care. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
Reporting side effects
Report side effects and product problems to your care team at support@rehabhealthlab.com or 715.303.1301. You may also report adverse events to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's MedWatch program at 1-800-FDA-1088 or fda.gov/medwatch.
Availability
Services are available to adults 18 and older in states where Rehab® Health Lab operates. Services are not available in Alabama or Mississippi. Availability of individual treatments varies by state and by provider judgment.
