How it works

Tirzepatide may be compounded with an added B vitamin, either Vitamin B12, medically known as cyanocobalamin, or Vitamin B6, medically known as pyridoxine hydrochloride. It is one or the other, not both, and your licensed provider selects the appropriate option for you after your intake is completed.

Vitamin B12 supports red blood cell formation, nerve health, and the energy metabolism pathways that convert food into usable fuel. Vitamin B6 works in amino acid and protein metabolism and neurotransmitter production, and is commonly chosen to help ease the nausea some patients feel while adjusting to a GLP-1 or GIP treatment.

In short: B12 (cyanocobalamin) is the energy and nerve support option, while B6 (pyridoxine) is the metabolism and stomach comfort option. Both are water soluble, so the body uses what it needs and clears the rest. A B12 formulation can give the solution a pink or reddish tint, which is normal.
