This Subscription and Automatic Renewal Policy explains the terms that apply when a patient elects to purchase a treatment, service, or other offering on a recurring basis through the Company. It describes how subscriptions are created, how recurring charges are authorized, how renewals occur, and how a patient may pause, modify, or cancel a subscription using electronic methods.
This policy is intended to provide clear notice of recurring-billing terms and should be read together with the Company’s Terms and Conditions, Refund, Return, and Cancellation Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, checkout disclosures, and any treatment-specific notices. If a conflict exists between this policy and a disclosure presented at checkout for a particular subscription, the more specific disclosure will control to the extent permitted by law.
Affirmative Opt-In to a Subscription
A subscription is not created merely by browsing the website or creating an account. A patient must affirmatively select or accept a recurring purchase option and complete the applicable checkout process. Before the patient submits the order, the Company will disclose the material terms of the recurring arrangement in a clear and conspicuous manner, including the amount to be charged, the frequency of charges, and that the subscription will continue until cancelled unless another renewal term is expressly stated.
By completing checkout after those disclosures are presented, the patient affirmatively agrees to the subscription terms and authorizes the Company and its payment processors to charge the selected payment method on a recurring basis. Where required by law, the Company may use a separate checkbox, button, or similar electronic mechanism to capture affirmative consent to automatic renewal.
Recurring Billing Authorization
By enrolling in a subscription, the patient authorizes recurring charges to the payment method on file for the subscription price, applicable taxes, shipping charges, and any other recurring amounts clearly disclosed before purchase. The patient also authorizes the Company’s payment processor to store or tokenize payment credentials as necessary to process future authorized charges.
The amount of a renewal charge may change if the patient changes treatment, dosage, quantity, shipping option, or subscription frequency, or if the Company changes pricing in accordance with this policy and applicable law. Material pricing changes will be disclosed before they take effect when required by law.
Renewal Frequency
Subscriptions renew at the interval disclosed during enrollment, which may be monthly or at another stated frequency. The billing date and shipment date may not be the same. Charges may be processed before the expected shipment date to allow time for provider review, prescription processing, pharmacy preparation, and shipping.
A recurring charge does not guarantee that medication will be dispensed. Each prescription remains subject to medical appropriateness, applicable prescribing requirements, provider authorization, and pharmacy fulfillment. If treatment cannot continue, the Company will handle the affected renewal in accordance with the Refund, Return, and Cancellation Policy and applicable law.
Renewal Notices and Reminders
The Company may send renewal reminders, order confirmations, payment receipts, shipment notices, or other subscription communications by email, text message, portal notification, or other electronic means. Where applicable law requires a pre-renewal notice, trial-conversion notice, or notice of a material change, the Company will provide the notice in the form and timing required by law.
Patients are responsible for maintaining current contact information and reviewing communications associated with their accounts. Failure to open or read a notice does not necessarily prevent renewal if the Company sent the notice in accordance with the patient’s communication preferences and applicable law.
Easy Electronic Cancellation
Patients may cancel a subscription electronically without being required to place a telephone call. The Company will provide at least one reasonably accessible electronic cancellation method, such as cancellation through the patient account portal, an online cancellation form, a designated cancellation link, or an email request to customer support. Where required by applicable law, the electronic cancellation method will be available in a manner that is at least as easy to use as the method used to enroll.
A patient who enrolled online may use the electronic cancellation method made available through the website or account experience. The Company will not require a patient to speak with a retention representative, provide a reason for cancellation, or accept additional offers as a condition of completing an otherwise valid cancellation request, except where identity verification or other steps are reasonably necessary to protect the account or comply with law.
How to Cancel
A patient may cancel using any cancellation method then offered in the patient account or on the Company’s website, or by sending an electronic cancellation request to the Company’s customer support email address listed at the beginning of this policy. The request should identify the patient and the subscription to be cancelled. The Company may require reasonable identity verification before processing the request.
The Company will provide confirmation of cancellation electronically when reasonably practicable. Patients should retain that confirmation for their records. If a patient believes a cancellation was not processed correctly, the patient should promptly contact customer support and provide any available confirmation number, email, screenshot, or other evidence of the prior request.
Effective Date of Cancellation
Cancellation stops future automatic renewals after the cancellation becomes effective. To avoid the next scheduled renewal charge, the patient should cancel before the next billing date displayed in the patient account or renewal disclosure. Cancellation after a renewal has already processed may apply to future renewal periods rather than the order already in process.
If a cancellation request is received after a renewal charge but before the renewed order has entered non-reversible clinical or pharmacy fulfillment, the Company will review whether that renewed order can still be cancelled. Refund eligibility for an already-renewed order is governed by the Refund, Return, and Cancellation Policy and applicable law.
No Cancellation Penalty
Unless a specific program clearly discloses otherwise and the arrangement is lawful, the Company does not charge a separate penalty merely for cancelling a recurring subscription. Charges for services already rendered, medication already dispensed, or other non-refundable components remain subject to the applicable refund and cancellation rules.
Pausing or Modifying a Subscription
Where the patient account offers the functionality, patients may be able to pause, skip, reschedule, or modify a subscription. Availability of these options may depend on treatment type, provider requirements, pharmacy operations, and the timing of the request. A pause or skip is not the same as cancellation unless the Company expressly states otherwise.
Changes to medication, dosage, formulation, or treatment schedule may require additional provider review and are not guaranteed. Patients should not use account settings to make clinical changes that have not been approved by the treating provider.
Medical Eligibility and Ongoing Provider Review
A subscription is an administrative and billing arrangement; it does not create a right to receive a prescription indefinitely. Continued treatment remains subject to the independent medical judgment of the treating provider. A provider may require follow-up consultations, updated medical history, laboratory testing, vital signs, or other information before authorizing continued treatment.
A provider may modify, pause, or discontinue treatment when clinically appropriate. If treatment is discontinued, the Company may cancel or adjust future subscription renewals. Charges associated with services or medication already provided remain subject to the Company’s refund and cancellation rules.
Failed Payments
If a recurring payment is declined or otherwise fails, the Company or its payment processor may retry the payment, request an updated payment method, or suspend fulfillment. The Company may send reminders or account notices regarding failed payments. A subscription may remain active until cancelled or terminated even if a particular payment attempt fails, subject to the Company’s billing practices and applicable law.
Updating Payment Information
Patients are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method. Payment information may be updated through the patient account or another secure method provided by the Company. The Company may use account-updater services offered by payment networks or processors where lawful, which may allow an expired or replaced card to continue supporting authorized recurring charges.
Price Changes
The Company may change subscription pricing from time to time. If a change affects future recurring charges, the Company will provide any advance notice required by applicable law. The notice may be delivered electronically and may explain when the new price will take effect and how the patient may cancel before the change becomes effective.
Free Trials, Introductory Offers, and Promotional Pricing
If the Company offers a free trial, discounted introductory period, or promotional subscription price, the material terms of the offer will be disclosed before enrollment, including when the promotional period ends and the amount or method for determining the subsequent recurring charge. Unless cancelled before the disclosed conversion date, the subscription may automatically convert to the standard recurring price.
Promotional benefits may be limited to one per patient, household, payment method, or account and may be subject to additional eligibility rules. Cancellation of a promotional subscription may result in loss of the promotional price if the patient later re-enrolls.
Annual or Longer-Term Renewals
If the Company offers a subscription with an initial term or renewal period longer than one month, the Company will provide the disclosures and renewal notices required by applicable law. Any such notice will explain the upcoming renewal, the amount or term of the renewal where required, and how to cancel electronically before renewal.
Termination by the Company
The Company may terminate, suspend, or decline to renew a subscription when necessary for patient safety, provider direction, pharmacy availability, legal or regulatory compliance, suspected fraud, abusive conduct, payment failure, service discontinuation, or another legitimate operational reason. When reasonably practicable, the Company will provide notice of termination or suspension.
State Automatic-Renewal and Consumer Protection Rights
Automatic-renewal, negative-option, and subscription laws vary by jurisdiction. The Company intends to administer recurring subscriptions in accordance with applicable federal and state requirements, including requirements concerning clear disclosures, affirmative consent, renewal notices, material-change notices, and cancellation methods. If applicable law provides a patient with greater cancellation or refund rights than those stated in this policy, the applicable law will control.
Records of Consent and Cancellation
The Company may retain records of subscription enrollment, affirmative consent, disclosures presented at checkout, recurring charges, renewal notices, cancellation requests, and cancellation confirmations for legal, compliance, audit, fraud-prevention, and customer-service purposes. Such records will be handled in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Changes to this Subscription Policy
The Company may update this Subscription and Automatic Renewal Policy to reflect changes in law, subscription features, payment processing, services, or business practices. If a change materially affects an existing subscription, the Company will provide any notice or obtain any renewed consent required by applicable law before the change takes effect.
